Dak Prescott Comparison

 Dak Prescott through 8 weeks of the 2024 NFL season has put up really ugly and unexpectedly bad numbers and The Cowboys record shows it too. Dak currently has 1,845 passing yards, 10 Touchdowns, 8 Interceptions, a 63.7 Completion %, and a 84.5 QBR. If the season ended today his QBR would be the worst of his entire career and his completion % would be the 2nd worst of his career only slightly above 62.9% which he posted 7 years ago during his sophomore slump. He is also on pace to throw the most interceptions of career. These are all surprising especially coming from a 9 year vet. and considering the fact that Dallas just renewed his contract making him the Highest paid player in NFL history only 2 months ago marking the start of this very NFL season. Why is someone with his value and experience playing as bad as he has ever played. Well, when you compare how Dak has played with and without key #2 & #3 WR's we learn a lot. In 2018 Dallas started 3-4 just like this season so they went and acquired Amari Cooper from The Raiders and then finished the season 7-2. Dak needs help, he is not a Patrick Mahomes, what do I mean by that? He can't produce without a solid roster around him, he needs more than 1 weapon at Wide Receiver as well as a stout running game to balance the offensive attack. Dallas is very 1 dimensional right now they have no running game and it is hurting Dak really badly. I'm sure Jerry Jones and the front office is pretty upset they didn't go get a Derrick Henry or keep Tony Pollard around to help the run game they have so not had this season. Not keeping Tyron Smith, Stephon Gilmore, and so many other players this off season has also hurt them and its obvious. Dallas just lost to San Fran making them 3-4, its obvious they need WR help and they just let a cheap Diontae Johnson which is an amazing #2 WR for a team go to The Ravens- seems like the Ravens are killing Dallas in free agency right about now- and the options for heroes in Dallas' future keeps growing dimmer and dimmer. Dallas really needs to make something change if they plan on making playoffs and it starts with Dak, hopefully something can change for them starting this week vs. Atlanta.

Way Too Early Predictions

      Who doesn't love a good prediction for the rest of the NFL season after only 4 games. While it is too early with 13 weeks left in the NFL season we can't be so sure about predictions but, we have learned a lot and teams have started to show their true colors. While things will obviously change that doesn't stop us from predicting so let's get into it.     Who else to talk about other than America's team The Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys in my opinion have not changed much since last season or for the last few years for that matter. They still seem to look like the team that beats up on lesser opponents and really struggles against strong contenders in the league.
