Best Football Helmets

 The Football Helmet a staple of the game of American Football and it has come a long way over the years due to the developing of new technology, sciences, and studies. The evolution of the football helmet is really a beautiful thing considering the importance of the players head and brain. NFL players suffer concussions all throughout their career and left untreated or ignored has had some very bad effects in the long run for example; CTE. The football helmet plays a huge role in this because dating back to the 1900's football helmets were not very safe or sound leaving NFL players with the effects of brain and head trauma. However, the new designs and technology of the Helmet has grown and transcended at such a fast rate that players are looking forward to the day that concussions and head injuries are a thing of the past. While that time is not yet here the developments and new helmets are very good so let's get into it.

At #1. In my opinion the best football helmet as of right now has to go to the Speed Flex by Riddell a slightly newer and much more sound version of the late Revo speed that Riddell released in 2008. The Revo speed was the next best thing at the time of its release with basically every football player wearing it but in 2014 Riddell release the Speed Flex and Yes, that was 10 years ago but that is how good this helmet has been. This helmet has taken over the game since then with it's sleek and advanced look as well as its tight and comfortable fit. The Speed Flex also only weighs about 3.45 lbs.

At the #2 spot otherwise known as an Honorable Mention has to be the F7 by Schutt which was released in 2017 and has slowly built a strong name and fan crowd for itself. The look is very different and has become part of the reason why players have started to gravitate towards it as of lately. Also many players like the fit of the helmet much more as it really grips the crown of your head and has less cover around the back side of your neck; while some players like the fit of the F7 it is the very reason why some players refuse to switch over saying the Speed Flex is just so much more comfortable. The F7 however is slightly lighter in weight than the Speed Flex weighing in at 3.3lbs.
